General Examinations/Surgery/ In-House Laboratory
We are experienced in the diagnosis and treatment of animals. If your pet is ill or injured, we will perform the appropriate workup, including lab work, x-rays, and examination, so that we may begin the proper treatment. If your pet needs inpatient care, we will admit them for administration of intravenous fluids, medications, hand feeding, and lots of tender loving care (TLC). Our facility is small, and this allows us to focus on each and every patient and cater to their individualized needs. We also provide medical boarding for our patients.
Top-of-the-Line Technology
In-House Laboratory
For fecal, blood, and urine tests, we have an in-house lab to run tests and provide quick results. We utilize outside laboratories, widening the scope of diagnostic tools available to include histopathology, cytology, bacterial culture and sensitivity, and even PCR testing for certain viruses and bacteria, and more.
Medical Records
Our computerized record-keeping system ensures that all of your pet’s information and test results are recorded and saved so we can focus our efforts into taking care of patients. We keep detailed records, including imaging, lab results, and digital images in our system. Every piece of information is accessible quickly and easily.
Acupuncture
Healing through balance—acupuncture helps pets feel better, move better, and live better.
How it works
- Relieves Pain: Acupuncture triggers the release of endorphins and other pain mediators, helping reduce discomfort naturally.
- Improves Circulation: By stimulating blood flow, acupuncture helps promote healing and repair of damaged tissues.
- Supports Nervous System Function: Stimulating nerve bundles can help redirect energy flow and restore communication within the body.
- Restores Balance: In Traditional Chinese Medicine, disease is seen as an imbalance. Acupuncture works to restore harmony within the body.
- Resolves Blockages: “Where there is blockage or stagnation, there is pain.” Acupuncture helps release these blockages to relieve discomfort.
- Guided by Ancient Wisdom: With over 2,000 years of refinement and use, acupuncture has helped countless animals and humans heal naturally.
- Based on Channels (Meridians): The body has 14 major energy Channels where most acupuncture points are located. These points often correspond with superficial nerves and blood vessels, giving acupuncture both energetic and physiological effects.
Techniques:
We use a variety of gentle and effective techniques to support your pet’s healing:
- Acupuncture needles: Fine, sterile needles are inserted into specific acupuncture points to stimulate healing and restore balance.
- Acupressure: A needle-free option using gentle pressure on acupuncture points—great for sensitive pets.
- Tui-na massage: A traditional Chinese therapeutic massage that improves circulation and eases tension.
- Aqua-acupuncture: A small amount of sterile vitamin B-12 and/or saline is injected into acupuncture points to provide longer stimulation.
Well researched effects of acupuncture:
- Analgesic effect/pain relief
- Muscle relaxation
- Anti-inflammatory effect
- Immune system response, (ex. Increase WBC)
- Stress and anxiety relief
Case Selection:
We may recommend integrative care for pets experiencing:
- Pain management needs
- Musculoskeletal issues (e.g. arthritis, hip dysplasia, chronic back pain)
- Acute back pain or paralysis, especially when referral isn’t an option — early treatment is essential
- Geriatric concerns, such as mobility issues, general weakness, senility, and multi-system health challenges
- Cancer, to help manage symptoms and in some cases, support longevity
- Palliative care, to ease the symptoms of chronic or progressive illness and support daily comfort
Treatment Frequency:
For most conditions, we recommend treatment once every 1–2 weeks for the first 3–4 sessions. If possible, weekly treatments during the first month are ideal. As your pet improves, we’ll gradually extend the time between visits—typically to every 3–4 weeks, then every 6–8 weeks for maintenance.
For acute conditions like IVDD or paralysis, we recommend starting as soon as possible with treatments twice a week in the early stages.”

Scheduling
We will start with a consultation and exam. During this visit, we’ll review your pet’s health concerns, discuss your goals, and outline a personalized plan moving forward.

Laser Therapy/Light Therapy
What is Laser Therapy?
Laser therapy is a noninvasive treatment designed to reduce pain and inflammation, and to speed healing. This treatment is quickly becoming standard of care in both human and veterinary medicine. Our staff members administer laser therapy via a handpiece that emits this therapeutic infrared light in a fast, drug-free, and soothing treatment. The light can treat surface problems such as wounds, as well as deeper structures, penetrating through fur, skin, and fat if necessary to reach damaged tissue.
The therapeutic infrared light targets the mitochondria in damaged cells and stimulates them to regenerate and stimulates them to return to optimal function. This regenerative process is called photobiomodulation (PBM). PBM does not impact normal cells, but can help damaged cells to recover from injury faster.
Laser therapy can be utilized as an adjunct to existing treatments, often reducing or replacing the need for pain medications.
What are Treatments Like?
Laser therapy treatments are fast and pain-free, making them well-tolerated by most pets. There is no clipping or shaving required for the treatment area. When your pet arrives for therapy they will be situated in a comfortable position, and may be outfitted with laser-safe doggles. You will also receive laser-safe eyewear to wear during treatment if you remain with your pet during therapy.
Treatments take approximately 5 – 10 minutes depending on the size of the treatment area and the condition being treated. During this treatment your pet will experience a soothing warmth that often relaxes patients, and sometimes makes them go to sleep!
Some conditions require several treatment sessions for optimal outcomes. When your pet’s condition is evaluated your veterinarian will discuss their recommendations with you.
Laser Therapy is an Effective Treatment for:
- Wounds
- Arthritis
- Skin Conditions
- Pain & Inflammation
- Pain Relief
- Post-Operative Recovery
- Rehabilitation
- Geriatric Care
- Lick Granulomas
- Otitis
- Dental Conditions
- Fractures
- Abdominal Disorders
- And Much More!

Phovia Light Therapy
Phovia Light Therapy is a non-invasive treatment that uses specialized blue light to promote healing, reduce inflammation, and support tissue recovery. This therapy works by stimulating cellular function and improving circulation, accelerating the healing process.
In addition to its healing benefits, Phovia Light Therapy also has anti-bacterial properties, helping to fight off harmful bacteria and prevent infections, making it especially effective for treating wounds, skin infections, and dermatitis. It is commonly used to support recovery after surgery or injury, as well as to manage conditions like hot spots and other skin irritations.
By harnessing the power of blue light, Phovia aids in faster and safer recovery, enhancing your pet’s overall well-being without the need for medications or invasive treatments.
Imaging
Imaging
Our state-of-the-art digital imaging and ultrasound machines allow us to take detailed images that are saved electronically for instant access and sending for referrals or consultations.
We offer advanced diagnostic imaging with both X-ray and CT (computer tomography) scan, essential tools for accurately diagnosing a variety of health issues in your pet
Epica Med
We’re very excited to announce that we’ll be using a new high-definition 3D imaging device very soon to provide better prognosis for your pets. This machine has been proven as clinically superior to regular x-rays and can replace MRI and ultrasounds in many cases.

X-ray
X-ray imaging uses a small amount of radiation to create a picture of your pet’s internal structures. This technique is particularly effective for visualizing bones and joints, making it ideal for identifying fractures, arthritis, and other skeletal conditions. X-rays provide clear, detailed images of bone structures, but they are limited to 2D views and may not capture subtle soft tissue injuries or more complex issues that require further analysis.
CT Scans
Unlike traditional X-rays, which create flat, 2D images, CT scans capture multiple X-ray pictures from different angles and combine them to produce detailed, 3D images. This allows us to see both bones and soft tissues in much greater detail, making it an invaluable tool for diagnosing a wide range of conditions. CT scans are especially helpful for complex orthopedic issues like cruciate ligament tears, fractures, and joint problems. The added detail also helps us plan surgeries or treatments with greater precision, ensuring the best possible care for your pet
Social Opportunities
Puppies
Puppies are constantly absorbing sights, sounds, and experiences. This is the time to introduce your puppy to positive experiences with new people and other puppies. Our Puppy Play Days offer those opportunities, plus they help acclimate your pup to our office and staff.
Puppy Play Days are so popular we have to limit the number of pups coming in to play at each session! Puppies that come to play here grow up to be dogs that drag their owners in to our office instead of being dragged in by their owners! Come on in so your pup can have some social time and be free of fear when they come to our office.

Kittens
Kittens also need time for socializing with other people and cats. Kittens that are at-risk and lack social experiences when they are young can grow to become aggressive, short-tempered, and bite without warning. We offer individualized “stay and play” times for at-risk kittens. They can meet and play with friendly cats while they become acclimated to the sights, sounds, and smells of our practice and hospital.
